Fulfil your destiny

(Sermons on Destiny)

First above all we have a destiny. God has planned yours and mine future and prepared us a good destiny. Place of fulfilment , joy and happiness. He doesn’t have anything harmful in store for you(or for anyone)! He has only good things. Good future is before you!

Mat 7:11

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?”

Jam 1:17

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning.”

Believe me nobody is destined for doom or disaster by God. But some people when reading other scriptures could think otherwise. There is a scripture which was misunderstood many times:

2Ti 2:20-21

“ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. Therefore if anyone purges himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honor, sanctified and useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. “

First part of the verse says that there are vessel of honour and dishonour. What may mean that some of us must be those of dishonour. But if you read next part of the verse you will see that it is your choice which vessel you are! So if there is any predestination in your life it is the good one! And it is only you who can change it. Change it for worse. You don’t have to do much to damage your good future. It will be enough if you will do nothing. This will do to destroy what God has for you in store. Just wait, sleep a little bit longer and stay where you are. Devil will not have to fight you! You will doom yourself! Maybe you will even get to heaven but eventually when you will get there you will be asked few questions. What have you done with your talents or what have you done about the lost? Or at least what have you done about your neighbours and family?! Did you help them to find Me-God will ask? You probably will say I didn’t know how to do this or I was not equipped for that. But God will say that you were and He will show you all your talents you didn’t know about and you have done nothing to discover them! God has prepared everything. He knew you before foundation of the World. He knew about your needs and about your desires. And since he has created you he also knew about your gifts and talents. He has prepared a way for you. There is a song which says that “God will make a way” but my dear friend he already made it. He made a way for you! You just have to find it!

How to discover your destiny in God?

You see my friend, if something what is for you is hidden in God in order to grasp it you must draw closer to Him! So first step in discovering your destiny is to come closer to God!

There are three main factors which will bring you closer to Him.

First you have to love God and people.

Second you have to protect your soul from bad influences. And third you have to feed your soul properly.

First is a command so if you don’t do that you can forget about anything else. And you have to do some action in that matter. You have to get involved in a things of God. Get involved in you Church, start helping people and bringing them to Jesus. Remember love is a decision not a feeling. Second is a preparation for the third one. To fill your soul with right thing you have to empty it first. You have to make sure that all points of entrance to you soul are protected. You have to control what you read, watch, listen to and who do you spend your time with. What ever you have allowed to your soul this is shaping you. Has good or bad influence. If you spend your time with wrong people they will influence your soul. If you watch more News then Christian TV this will influence your soul also. Whatever you do is leaving footprints on your soul!

Now let’s move to proper food. Main aspect of that is to be in the Word of God. This means to read, to ponder, to speak and to watch it. It is not enough just read the Bible or listen to Word of God when you are in Church on Sunday! You have to spend much more time studying and pondering on it. And when you pray you have to speak it into your life! Your prayer has to be based on the Word of God. And when you pray you have to speak it out, don’t pray it in your thoughts. Word of God has to be spoken to make something happen. You should feed yourself with the Word of God as often as you can. You can use any “free” time you have. You can listen to CDs with teachings of the God’s Word in a car when you drive, in a bathroom or in a kitchen when you preparing your meal. Some people can listen to them when they work instead of radio station. So don’t tell me that you don’t have a time! Spend all the time you can with His Word and this will change your soul and your life.

Second important step to discover your destiny is your faith!

You have to believe and trust God. Only in that case you will survive all the problems and beat them.

Heb 10:38

“Now, "the Just shall live by faith. But if he draws back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him."

Heb 11:6

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

If your faith won’t be developed you will not reach your destiny. According to the Word of God all your future depends on faith. You can not have any success without it. And there is only one way to build your faith, through the Word of God!

Rom 10:17

“Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

Now you see why listening to the Word of God is so important - it is building your faith. If you are listening to certain CDs let say on Healing you will build your faith in that subject. If you listen to CDs on blessing you will build your faith on blessing. If you will read loudly verses about any subject you will build your faith on that subject.

Third step to discover your destiny is a prayer.

There are two main types of prayer. Prayer of your soul and prayer of your spirit. Prayer of your soul is your usual prayer which everybody can pray, better or worse. The second type is only for those baptised in the Holy Spirit. It is a prayer in other tongues. This is the most important prayer you can pray. Why you will see in a moment.

1Co 14:2

“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. For no one hears, but in spirit he speaks mysteries.”

Rom 8:26

“Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

It is very special prayer because it is Spirit within you who prays. So your spirit which has direct connection with God prays perfect prayer in full accordance with God’s will and your best interest. Your spirit prays about things you don’t know about or you don’t know how to pray for. Your spirit prays in mysteries (which are known only to God), such a prayer will always bring breakthrough to your life. You will not understand that prayer (unless you have a gift of translations of tongues) but this is alright. You don’t have to understand to believe in a answer. You should pray that prayer as much as you can. If you are not baptised with the Holy Spirit write to us.. First prayer, prayer of your soul is actually more difficult because you still have to pray according to God’s will and in that case you have to know it! You have to know His will in general and in particular. And the only path to learn His will is through his Word! You need two things to have fulfilled prayer. You need faith and you have to pray in accordance with His will.

Mar 11:23

“For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said.”

1 Jo 5:14

“And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”

You see if you pray believing that what you have prayed will be done for you, you will get it. And you have to believe it before you have prayed! If it is only God’s will you will have it.

When you finally will discover what is your destiny don’t think that this is it. No. You are yet in the beginning of your fight. Now you have to strife to make it happen. There are two dimensions of that battle. Spiritual and physical. Spiritual consists of staying in the Word, praying and believing.

Physical consists of :

Working on your character,

Developing your talents,

Being faithful,

Obeying,

And acting.

Basically you have to do the same things to fulfil your destiny as you were doing to discover it but with addition of this physical factor because we can not be just spiritual and do nothing on physical side. On the other side we can not just do things. We have to support them with spiritual part. Both parts are needed to get results.
