Strong and Faithful

Why you must be born again.

(John 3:3) “Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus said that if you are not born again you will not see the kingdom of God. That means that you will not go to heaven no matter what! Maybe that’s shock for you but the only Way to heaven is through being born again by power of Jesus Christ.

You may say but I go church every Sunday. That’s good, don’t stop it! You may say I confess my sins and take communion. That’s very good, don’t stop it too! But you still need to be born again! Why is that you ask? Because Jesus (God) said so!! So don’t argue with Him! Just do it!

I will give you some explanation. Going to church, making confessions, taking communion is for keeping you in a good shape, keeping you in holiness. But first you have to receive it in order to keep it. By getting born again you will receive God’s holiness into your life. How to do this? You have to believe in the Name of Jesus (that he died for you and has been resurrected and paid price for your sins) and you have to confess Him as your Lord and Saviour.

(Rom 10:9-10) “Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.”

It is that simple, just say it:” Jesus I believe that you have died and that you were resurrected for me, from now on you are my Lord and Saviour, I belong to you now. Please forgive me all my sins, I receive your eternal forgiveness and your gift of righteousness .Thank you for giving me eternal life. Now all my sins are forgiven and now I am born again to have eternal life with you.”

Now your life starts again, all your trespasses are forgiven and forgotten , all is new. God doesn’t remember your past any more. That’s why it is called new life. So don’t think to much abut your past (since God has forgotten it). Only correct your present actions to not error again but under any circumstances do not dwell in your past. Go forward and forget your past.

There is a very important aspect of what happened to you. When you are forgiven you must forgive others! And it does not matter what they have done to you. You must do it for your own good. Remember, forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.

(Mat 6:14-15) “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Now you have clear position to aim at whatever God is calling you to and your enemy is a sitting duck. After Jesus you can say:

(John 14:30) “ I shall no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me.”

Since your sins are forgiven there is nothing in you Satan can get hold of! Completely nothing! Thanks to Jesus! Our sins are gone and they were those strongholds by which Satan was ruling in your life. But those days are over; we are born again in God’s Kingdom!

What really happened when you were born again? Many things, some of them are commonly known some of them are not.

First your sins were totally forgiven. They don’t exist any more, so you have open road to heaven if you would die right now. As your life goes on and you still live in holiness (confessing your sins, applying blood of Christ to sins, which is removing them) nothing changes. When you die you go to heaven. Question may occur to you; can it be changed? Can I lose my salvation? The answer is yes and no. For “NO” part we have plenty of scriptures and one of them is:

(John 10:28) “And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.”

For “YES” part you may lose salvation on your own demand. Basically it will happen if you reject Jesus and his offering. This must be your decision! But remember nobody, man or evil spirit can pull you out of hands of Jesus!!!

Second you are a new creature. When you are called new it is comparison to old creature – which was Adam-man. That actually means that you are not a man any more! It sounds crazy but that is what Word says. You look like man; you have body and soul but your spirit is different.

(2Co 5:17) “So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

And if you give up control over yourself to your spirit you will become also new outside! Your soul (which is – your will, mind, emotions) will change! When you were born again your spirit was changed instantly but your soul is changed in process.

(Eph 4:22-24) For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

And you should put on the new man, who according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness.

Your soul is corrupted but can be renewed in “spirit of your mind” which is your righteous spirit given by God. And “spirit of your mind” simply means “spirit of your soul”. So if you surrender your soul (will, mind, emotions) to God’s spirit within you He will change your soul. But remember this is a process. It won’t happen over one night; it probably will take years of intensive work! But how exactly I can do that – you may ask? Actually it is simple. Your soul learns through your senses (sight, hearing) so what ever enters your soul by seeing, listing, reading or speaking changes nature of the soul. First step than to change your soul is to change way you feed your soul. Read, listen, watch or speak only godly things! Stop contaminating your own soul! Second step is to fill your soul with right things. You have to submerge your soul in God’s Word. On daily (or even hourly) basis! If you spend enough time reading and meditating the Word, if you will watch more Christian TV then News and if you spend quality time in prayer your soul definitely will change! So it is not enough do don’ts but equally important is to all the dos. If you will follow this simple instruction you will notice that it will become great pleasure for you to do that as time will pass by.

You must know that there is much more given to you in your salvation then “just” forgiveness of your sins.

Let’s look for a moment at spirit which is in you.

When God created a man, he first created a body then he “blew” at Adam blow of life – His Spirit and then man become a living soul. The body itself was dead! Only life body has is the one from the spirit! So body is like a suit which spirit puts on. When spirit moves body moves, when spirit will leave the body, the body will fall flat and won’t be able to do anything! When Adam sinned he lost his connection with God which was the source of his life, power and authority. Adam’s spirit didn’t cease to exist just become spiritually dead – lost his connection with God. When Adam’s spirit connection with God’s Spirit was terminated he automatically lost everything and fell under the dominion of Satan. When you are born again your spirit is renewed, your connection with God is restored and you are no more under Satan’s authority!

Now again you can talk with God anytime and anywhere as Adam could! Now you have really free access to him! There is nothing between you and God but Love! We are close again Halleluiah There is one very important thing you have probably noticed - Man is a Spirit! Not a flesh! When you die flesh dies, not a spirit. Spirit lives forever in Heaven or in Hell, whatever you have chosen.

There is another aspect of the Holy Spirit which we have to discuss – Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Please look at the person of Jesus. He was born on Earth with clean and not corrupted soul and living Spirit. And what we also all know he never committed any sin! Yet he didn’t perform even one miracle before he was baptised in Holy Spirit! That must bring us to understanding that having a living Spirit within and being baptised in Holy Spirit are two different experiences. Remember that Jesus was living on Earth as a man not as God, obviously he was God but he left his God’s attributes in Heaven. That’s why he was like us! And that’s why he can be an example for us! Coming back to baptism of Holy Spirit. It connected Jesus with working Power of God! And it will do the same for us! It is an enablement to perform miracles, to do powerful things; everything through Power of God working in us! If Jesus needed it much more we do!

So if you are still not baptised in Holy Spirit better find someone to help you with it. You really need it. Don’t waste your time working for Him without His Power. That’s actually even stupid! You will never be really fruitful without it. And it is extremely vital if we are going to help others not just live for ourselves!

Another thing hidden in our salvations is redemption from the curse.

(Gen 3:17) “And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life.”

When Adam sinned the ground(Earth) was cursed and so it is until today. So everybody living on Earth is cursed by simply being here! You don’t have to do anything to be cursed , you are cursed because you are living on cursed ground! You don’t have to do anything to be cursed but you can do something to not be cursed! Actually Jesus did something for you about that matter, you just have to claim it!

(Gal 3:13-14) “ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree"); so that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Jesus Christ, and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
